RAINS

RAINS is a Danish rainwear company founded in 2012. Based on an early initiative to interpret the traditional rubber raincoat in a novel way, the company has, since its foundation, grown into an accomplished international rainwear brand that offers a full line of waterproof outerwear, bags and accessories to the fashion conscious consumer.

They focus on doing business both ethically and environmentally correct: human rights and labour standards, anti-corruption, environment & charity. They are proud to partner with professional, ethical factories that produce high-quality products in safe working conditions. They find ethical audits to be a useful tool in gaining insight in our production. The audits help them to understand how the manufacturing partners work and identify potential risk areas.

The fabric is bonded together through ultrasonic welding, ensuring quality, waterproof products. Additionally, all fittings, zippers and trimmings are designed and produced in materials optimized for wet conditions. They use PU and Polyester (recycled PET-bottles) for a durable fabric. Rains has specifically chosen the PU-coating as it is significantly more environment-friendly than its hormone disrupting alternatives: PVC and DWR-PFC.
