What's in a name right?
You got that right: eco and revolution.
Seems like a perfect match for SWAY...
Recolution, a brand founded in Hamburg, Germany. Jan and Robert, long-time school friends, partnered up in 2010 and started this green revolution that embraces clean practices unconditionally. They belong to the first generation of a new, ever-growing urban sustainable fashion movement in which style and fair production are not mutually exclusive.
To say it with their own words: "Recolution was founded out of a deep friendship based on trust and a shared pursuit of positive change. This open, optimistic and calm attitude weaves through all corporate structures: from cotton cultivation to design, production and team building to the electricity provider, logistician, packaging and bank details... It is possible to act in new ways and thus create better structures. Let us begin."
Materials & Production
A green revolution requires fashion that is environmentally friendly throughout the entire production chain - from cultivation to dyeing to shipping. Our products therefore consist of substances whose origins we can verify. They choose to work with organic cotton (GOTS), Tencel, Ecovero and also recycled cotton, wool and polyester to create their garments.
They produce mostly in Europe. This shortens the way from the sewing machine to your closet and work exclusively with manufacturers who are GOTS-certified and have high quality standards.
Plastic isn't Fantastic
There are still a lot of brands who wrap all items individually and choose to do so for protection purposes while being sorted and shipped. Sustainable brands usually opt for recycled plastic bags. But Recolution makes no compromise on this one. We were so excited we received the new collection without any plastic! Just a recycled paper box. It seems a recycled paper box is the only thing you need to carefully ship garments.
Recolution brings sustainable and timeless basics to your wardrobe for both men and women. So far you guys have been really enthused about this newcomer.
