Armed Angels
Armed angels is a German clothing brand for men and women that focuses on designing contemporary collections made from sustainable materials such as organic linen, organic wool, recycled polyester, Lenzing Modal and Tencel.
Eco + Fair
They have also been GOTS certified since 2011 and they work with Fairtrade and Fair Wear Foundation to implement high standards for fair working conditions. Armed angels helps cotton farmers to transfer to biological agriculture and pays them more than usual so that they can support their family and send their kids to school.
ARMEDANGELS fashion is 90% vegan. Forexample, since the spring of 2016, they stopped using leather patches for their denim collection. Instead, they are using Jacron labels made out of paper. As a fair fashion label, they are always looking for natural, sustainable and eco-friendly materials, and we are working continuously
towards finding the best animal-friendly alternatives.
ARMEDANGELS advocates fair working conditions, sustainable materials and animal-friendly production. Neither animals nor people should suffer for our fashion. With PETA, they have the right partner on their side to ensure high standards and try
to motivate people as well as the fashion industry to rethink their
choices.
Fabrics
They choose for fabrics like organic cotton (GOTS), organic wool, LENZING™ ECOVERO™, recycled plastic, organic linen, Tencel (Lyocell) and recently they have been working with Kapok. Kapok, also known as plant down, is one of the most sustainable fibers in today's market. The soft, silky hollow fiber is extracted from
the tropical kapok trees and has remarkable properties. These include
softness, water resistance, and good heat retention.
You can find Kapok in the Johannaa Basic T-Shirt, super soft!
The Zonjaa top on the photo is made from Lenzing, Ecovero. Such a breathable fabric, super light & feels like a second skin.
